The story of Keep Calm and Carry On

The ubiquitous 21st-century meme can be traced back to 1930s England, where it was first conceived as a propaganda poster to boost morale during the looming war with Germany.

Ironically, it was never used for that purpose, and it was resurrected in an unlikely corner of the world to begin its second life as a morale-booster for different times, with different challenges, but the same use for keeping calm and carrying on in the face of adversity.
